  • COPENMIND at important FLC event in Portland

Copenmind exhibited at the US Federal Laboratory Consortium’s National Meeting and Tech Transfer Event in Portland Oregon, May 5-8, 2008. The Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer (FLC) supports promotional exchanges and opportunities for the two organisations going forward.

FLC is a US nationwide network of 250 federal laboratories that provides the forum to develop strategies and opportunities for linking laboratory mission technologies and expertise with the marketplace.

More than 370 people attended the FLC event in Portland. The majority came from federal laboratories and tech transfer organisations but also included representatives from industry, organizations and universities.

Chairman of the FLC Scott Deiter announced the FLC- COPENMIND partnership in his address to the audience. FLC will be attending the COPENMIND 2008 hosting a conference. During the FLC event, Copenmind had a chance to discuss partnership with several others important organisations including Industrial Research Institute (IRI) and the Federal Partners for Technology Transfer, the Canadian counterpart to FLC.

The COPENMIND booth attracted a significant number of laboratories and interested parties of which many are now considering attending Copenmind 2008. COPENMIND benefited greatly by exhibiting at the event and from participants sharing insight of the industry, potentially leading to new targets for partnerships, visitors and sponsors.
