Top Universities Sign Up for COPENMIND

In the last weeks, COPENMIND has experienced on the rapidly increasing number of universities signing up as exhibitors for the event that promotion of the concept has had an impact all over the world.

Universities from the US, Europe, Australia and Asia have already signed up as exhibitors and more are to come.

COPENMIND at Washington International Renewable Energy Conference (WIREC)

In early March 2008, the U.S. Department of State hosted the ministerial-level WIREC 2008 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. As a parallel event, the Trade Show and Business Conference at WIREC 2008 were visited by 9000 visitors and delegates from more than a 100 countries and is most likely the largest business conference and exposition to date ever held on renewable energy and related fields in the U.S.

COPENMIND participated as an exhibitor at the show and received a great amount of visitors interested in the COPENMIND concept and event.

WIREC featured various speakers including US President George W Bush, Danish Energy Minister Connie Hedegaard and many others experts from Government and Industry. The event was an important opportunity for energy and environment ministers, organizations and companies to show their commitment to renewable energy and to showcase their products and services.

COPENMIND Makes the World Greener

During the first months of existence, COPENMIND has proven to have a truly global reach, which is reflected in the statistics on the use of COPENMIND web site. On a world map, countries with one or more visitors on the COPENMIND web page is coloured in shades of green – with the result that COPENMIND has painted almost the entire world green. In total, COPENMIND has had 5,644 visits from 64 different countries around the world in the period between November 15th and March 18th, averaging more than 1,400 visitors every month.

American Winner of Trip to Copenhagen Announced

As a part of the promotion of COPENMIND at the AUTM annual meeting in San Diego in late February, COPENMIND drew lots for a trip to Copenhagen during COPENMIND 2008.

The lucky winner of this trip was Mr. Ken Nisbet, Executive Director at the tech transfer unit at University of Michigan. COPENMIND congratulates Ken Nisbet on winning this trip.
